My Career Journey
With an extensive medical background working in various hospital & clinical settings, I have advanced training in working with Grief & Loss, Neurodivergences; Autism/ASD, ADHD Adult Assessments & Support, Trauma, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety,
Relationship Issues & Family Systems.
I also have a deep understanding of Attachment & Bonding and Abandonment wounds.

I am a strong believer that many of these symptoms are inter-connected with one another and can cause damage in people’s lives & adult relationships when they aren’t properly addressed.
I recognized long ago that unresolved emotions or trauma can also manifest in our bodies
as chronic physical illnesses & disease process.
My preferred way of treatment is working through a holistic lens of acknowledging a person's
"mind-body connection" as a “whole” person. I believe that the body & spirit do require whole-person healing, and that there is always a deeper, underlying cause to any medical diagnosis.
I utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Mindful Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, ACT and DBT, as well as other modalities for depression, anxiety, behavior modification, re-framing of negative self-talk, or past conditioning that may be wreaking havoc on your personal peace. I also have experience in working with mood disorders, working with people who struggle with personal relationships, co-dependency, and self-esteem issues.
Prior to becoming a Private Practice Therapist, I have held a variety of positions with a wide range of patients/clients in hospital and clinical settings.
I've worked in critical care, emergency room, obstetrics, pediatrics, nursery, oncology/palliative care, surgical/orthopedics. I also have personal experience working with hospice care.
Some of my other experience includes, working at DSHS with children & families and working with & advocating for
people who have disabilities.
On a personal note, I have experience in raising a child with Autism and the challenges
that it may present.
I especially enjoy offering helpful guidance to families that may need additional support around navigating ASD/Autism.
Additionally, I have extra education around
death and dying, end-of-life transitions, crises intervention and suicide prevention.
